Reproduktionen von 12 Zeichnungen und 12 Aquarellen von Paul Cézanne, Pablo Picasso, Paul Signac, August Macke, Oskar Kokoschka, Emil Nolde, Raoul Dufy, Lyonel Feininger, Henry Moore, Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, Paul Klee und Marc Chagall. Die Aquarelle sind herausnehmbar und können in an der rückwärtigen Buchdecke befindliche zwei freie Passepartouts zum Zwecke besserer Betrachtung eingefügt werden; mit einer Einführung von Werner Haftmann sowie Bildbeschreibungen von verschiedenen Autoren. 

La obra fotográfica de Jean-Marie del Moral, está presente en colecciones tanto públicas como privadas de todo el mundo. Sus imágenes de Barceló se mostraron por primera vez en la exposición internacional de Arles, Francia, en 1988. 

Conjunto de los textos más importantes que Enrique Juncosa ha escrito sobre Miguel Barceló -de quien es amigo desde sus inicios-, en un periodo que abarca casi veinte años. En ellos se da un repaso a la producción de Barceló desde sus inicios conceptuales a finales de los sesenta hasta su obra más reciente, teniendo en cuenta no sólo su pintura, sino también sus dibujos y su obra escultórica, especialmente la realizada en cerámica. Al hacerlo, se describe su trabajo, formalmente, analizando su evolución estilística. Se proporcionan claves, además, para la interpretación de su obra, identificando sus temáticas recurrentes, Se incluyen también ilustraciones de algunas de sus obras más importantes. 

Few artists of the early twentieth century created works of such classical beauty as Amedeo Modigliani. Although he lived among the avant-garde in Paris, his work remained to a surprising degree unaffected by the trends of the time. Modigliani painted portraits and nudes with a timeless consideration for balance and composition and a superb handling of color.
Best known are his portraits of women and his nudes: elongated necks, almond-shaped eyes, and serene facial expressions characterize these most readily recognized Modiglianis. But much of his oeuvre consists of portraits of friends, fellow artists, and other inhabitants of Paris. The subjects of his many paintings and sketches were almost always people; there are only four landscapes in his entire oeuvre.
Interest in Modigliani`s work has often been overshadowed by fascination with his turbulent life. Drugs, wine, and women coloured his existence, but they were no influence on his art. Unlike many publications on the artist, this book turns away from exploiting the sensational in Modigliani`s life and explores instead the masterly in his work. The author leads us to an intimate understanding of the artist`s oeuvre. With its carefully reproduced illustrations and absorbing texts, this book is certain to become an essential companion to Modigliani`s work.

Unter den bedeutenden Malern der neueren Zeit war Amadeo Modigliani wohl der einzige, der fast nur Akte und Porträts geschaffen hat. Natur interessierte ihn kaum. Im Mittelpunkt seines Sehens, Empfindens und Wirkens stand der Mensch, der Mensch der Stadt  vor allem, Freunde, Künstlerkollegen , auch Zechkumpane, die er in den Bistros von Paris kennengelernt hatte, und Mädchen, die ihm in Bars oder auf den Stra?en zwischen Mortmartre und Montparnasse begegnet waren. 

Gebrechlich muten seine Figuren an, mit den schräg abfallenden Schultern und den überschlanken Hälsen. Am eigenartigsten indes sind immer wieder die Gesichter: flachwangig unter gelblichoranener Haut, mit eng beieinanderliegenden Augen und einer Dehnung vom Kinn bis zur Stirn, die sämtlichen anatomischen Ma?en wiederspricht. Modigliani wurde dazu von der sogenannte primitiven Kunst inspiriert, von der Negerplastik und ihrer visionären Kraft. 1906, als der Akademiestudent von Florenz und Venedig in dir Hauptstadt an der Seine kam, war die Kunst der Naturvölker gerade von den modernen Malern entdeckt worden.

Muestra de la exposición de arte expresionista alemán, organizada por la Fundación Juan March y el Brücke Museum de Berlín, que ofrece al público obras maestras de uno de los más importantes momentos del arte alemán en el siglo XX. Una exposición que constaba de 77 obras de este periodo, completadas por dibujos, pinturas, acuarelas y obra gráfica de siete artistas del grupo Die Brücke.

Los últimos alardes dadaístas del inteligente Duchamp quebraron la tradición artística en fragmentos. En adelante, la reconstrucción minuciosa y artesanal del entramado, el escenario y el público acordados para el arte iban a convertirse en una ardua, por refutable, tarea. Desplazado, el objeto artístico no era ya el actor principal, sino un tímido actor de reparto. Die Neue Figuration ist ein Sammelbegriff für die figürliche Malerei nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg. Benannt ist sie nach dem gleichnamigen Buchtitel des Malers und Kritikers Hans Platschek. Sie ist in Abkehr vom abstrakten Ansatz des Informel entstanden. Zur Neuen Figuration gehören in den USA Richard Lindner und in Deutschland HAP Grieshaber und dessen Schüler an der Kunstakademie Karlsruhe: Horst Antes, Dieter Krieg und Heinz Schanz; von den Bildhauern ist Wilhelm Loth zu nennen.
