Art and Development

I would say that art, rather than helping, is necessary for the development of man and therefore of humankind. When I paint I am convinced that, when showing the result, I am provoking the spectator (painter looker) to act, and therefore to be more person, so he progresses in his personality, so that he does not stay in the moment he is living when contemplating the work nor in “his moment”, but that he continues beyond and with his action, helps himself and humankind. Does art in general help in all of this? Well, it does help; and it is necessary for civilizations to take this into consideration in order to follow their path, which in the end is the path of men.
