The second floor of Building Two houses the permanent collection. Divided into six galleries, it offers visitors a journey through Jorge Rando’s artistic production. Although it is a permanent collection, it remains dynamic, with works and displays regularly changing to offer different perspectives on the artist’s oeuvre.
The temporary exhibition galleries host exhibitions by national and international artists associated with Expressionism and Neo-Expressionism, as well as artists whose work can be related to these movements through their aesthetic or conceptual approach.
Temporary exhibitions dedicated to Jorge Rando are also held, reflecting his prolific career and ongoing artistic practice. The museum presents exhibitions featuring works from the artist’s personal collection, as well as works from private collections.
The library is open to the public and houses a specialised collection of books and publications on Expressionism. Its opening hours are the same as those of the museum.
It provides tables and chairs for reading and study, as well as free Wi-Fi.
The courtyard is one of the building’s most iconic spaces, dominated by a 150-year-old mandarin tree. Tables and chairs are available for visitors to rest and enjoy the surroundings, along with free Wi-Fi. Conceived as a green space, the courtyard also features a vertical garden.
Two sculptural groups by Jorge Rando can be viewed in this area: The Pregnant Woman and The Migrants.
The museum has restrooms, including an accessible restroom for visitors with reduced mobility.
All galleries are equipped with benches where visitors can sit during their visit, QR codes providing access to the guided tour, vinyl wall texts featuring reflections on the artist, and background music that accompanies the artworks throughout the museum.
